If you're new to the space, it's easy to feel overwhelmed or intimidated by the concept of crypto mining or terms used when hearing about the topic. But fear not, the process to get started isn't as bad as you might expect!

To be brief: crypto mining is a process of computers competing to solve complex equations to then add the next block in a Proof of Work consensus network (Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ðogecoin, etc), and be rewarded for their efforts.

 

The cost to start mining can vary from $1,000 - $40,000, depending on the hash power you want to generate. Increase the hash, increase your stash! First, consider if the computer will be dedicated to crypto mining or if you'll want to use it for personal too, then decide how much you would like to invest in equipment overall.
